Does Joe Lieberman have a chance at winning reelection? Chris Lynch says don’t bet on it.
Don Surber: Bush truths out the Democrats
Sep22
Don Surber has a great article about the Democrat’s plan to raise taxes: “but raising taxes does not balance the budget. Democrats failed to balance the budget when the marginal income tax rate was 90%. That meant that for every extra dollar a person earned, the federal government took 90 cents.”
Democrat Chairman Nick Casey fights against free speech
Sep18
Democratic Party Chairman Nick Casey is crying foul over Jim Vickers’ exercise of free speech. Why should this man draw Casey’s ire in particular? He dares to publicly support Republican Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito in her bid for reelection.
West Virginia State Senate election predictions
Sep13
I know it is still early, but here is part 1 of my predictions for the West Virginia State Senate elections.
Remembering September 11th
Sep11
Each of us can remember where we were and what we were doing five years ago today. We are the fortunate ones; we were not fighting for our lives. But no matter if you were a mother of a slain fire fighter, the wife of a businessman who never returned home, the child of a soldier who spent his last day at the Pentagon, or just an American, it affected us all.
2006 election predictions for West Virginia
Sep3
The candidates are in position at the starting line waiting for Labor Day when campaigning typically begins in earnest. BANG! And they’re off! From now until November 7th it will be a no holds barred struggle for your attention.
Of course, when it comes to Senator Byrd, this is where the running analogy ends. The two-caned Senator is so feeble he cannot maneuver to his desk to vote much less run in my hastily contrived allegory.
Things are bound to change between now and then, but I thought I would give my predictions on the chances of the federal and West Virginia state senatorial candidates.
Change
Sep1
Things will change for me very soon for several months. I have received an offer to work for Louisiana Congressman Bobby Jindal’s reelection campaign as director of a program called Student Project. Over 150 high school aged, conservative young people from across the country will be coming to New Orleans to help knock doors and pass out literature and I’m going to be their fearless leader.
