Townhall.com :: Columns :: Change your ethnicity day by Mike S. Adams - Mar 27, 2006

Change your ethnicity day by Mike S. Adams. The other day I logged on to my university’s website to investigate rumors that the administration has been using the site to exaggerate the number of minorities on our overwhelmingly white campus. After I heard a colleague’s extraordinary claim – namely, that there are more blacks […]
Townhall.com :: Columns :: Whose country is this? by Cal Thomas - Mar 28, 2006

Whose country is this? by Cal Thomas. “Thousands Rally For Immigrants’ Rights” read a headline about the Phoenix march. What rights? If they are here illegally, they have the right to leave. They have no rights under our Constitution, anymore than I might expect the rights of a Mexican citizen should I choose to […]

The Saga of Logan’s Law, part one
Mar18
Many times I write articles with little news and much bloviation by yours truly. This article is different. I will lay out the facts before you and let you form your own opinion. Because the tale is so lengthy, it will be split into two parts. And now, “part the first.”

When people see me they ask when I am going to write about the end of the session. It is forthcoming, I promise. I just have to recover.
Here are some pictures of the last night to tide you over until I begin pontificating again.
Democrats accidentally release top-secret document
Mar9
The Senate Republicans happened upon a confidential document of the Senate Democrats. This document was a “talking points memo” from Governor Manchin, detailing the strategy the Senate Democrats should take on Logan’s Law.
The memo, inadvertently left by the Democrats after they caucused Wednesday afternoon, gives us a unique look into the mindset of the Democrats and the hypocrisy and partisanship of Governor Manchin.
McCabe and Foster vote no on tougher penalties for violent sexual predators
Mar2
Last September Logan Goodall, a 2-year-old child, was sexually assaulted then beaten in the head and abdomen until he died in his home in Kanawha County. Ever since that time a band of mothers who do not want to bury their children have lobbied the legislature for stiffer penalties against sexual offenders. The result is a bill called “Logan’s Law.”
