In their April 8th edition, it was great to see in the liberal Charleston Gazette seeking support of its liberal beliefs from a French newspaper. The French, in their liberal socialist country, have nothing in common with West Virginia. Yet, when they demean themselves to even look upon us lowly minions, snobbish stale crumbs of criticism fall demeaningly from their table. Sadly, the Gazette’s rejoinder is enthusiastic agreement.
Liberals need to accept the fact that after 70 plus years of failed Democratic leadership, West Virginians are finally seeing the light. Snobbish Liberalism displayed by the Gazette will do nothing but aide in the common West Virginian’s departure from leftist ranks.
Liberals have completely lost touch with the common West Virginian. Proof of this ignorance is when they refer to hunting as “slaughter” instead of seeing the biological and ecological benefits of herd control as essential to keeping ample food supply and reducing the threat of disease caused from overpopulation. This is just one point that common West Virginians understand en masse. Unfortunately, the simple things in life are difficult for the liberal elitists to grasp.
Besides a lack of understanding in simply biology, the Gazette has bigger problems to rectify. When they think the arch-liberal French are correct and the majority of West Virginians are wrong, the Gazette has a problem. It is called “Liberal Elitism.” In plain English (not French), the Gazette is essentially saying, “I know what is good for you because my liberal thinking transcends the common man’s thought and you do not know what is good for you because you are the uneducated masses.” Do the words “government of the people, by the people, for the people” sound familiar? One fact is for certain, you will not find those words on any French documents. If that is what the Gazette wants, they are more than welcome to have it. Rather than trying to convert West Virginia, the Gazette should do us all a favor and just move overseas or finally be honest and rename themselves “The Paris Gazette.”
