Jim Mullins reports that Manchin supports the Kelo ruling. Democrats believe that the protection is already built into the code and Kelo did nothing to change it. I doubt Manchin supports Kelo; he was probably stating the code protects homeowners from abuse as is.

Update: I heard from someone who was there when Manchin said he supported Kelo and I trust this source. The individual was emphatic that Governor Manchin remarked extensively how he supports the Supreme Court’s ruling.
